Green Tip: Re-Read New Books

By: Melanie – Author of Going Green with Noah

Why do we consume so much paper?  Well, one reason is that when a book hits the shelf, we tend to go and buy the newest copy.

Why not wait?

Wait for these books to hit used bookstores such as Half Price Books, Half.com or swap your books with others at Paperbackswap.com!

Another alternative would be simply to buy a Nook (or such), but I’m one of those people that likes to pay half price for a book and actually smell and feel the comfort of an old book!

Or just patronize your local library! It’s free and many libraries have access to books online for you e-reader.

I’ve found that being there often and getting to know the librarians is a great strategy to make sure they order the books you are interested in as well as getting on the waiting list early for those new hot titles.
