Adorn Your Walls with Dali Decals (*GIVEAWAY*)

Tired of looking at your same old walls year after year?  Maybe it’s time for a bit of sprucing up!

Well, I know I needed a brand new view when we moved into our new home this summer.  The space was enormous and my pictures looked tiny on those massive walls.  Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on more paintings and prints, I decided to go the decal route.  Boy was I ever glad, and Dali Decals were the perfect choice.  They stand above the competition in their exquisitely superior quality.  Others may appear to compare onscreen, but Dali Decals is definitely a step (or two) above.  Though that may seem a bit pricey when compared to some of the competitors (ranging from $10 to $300), remember the time old saying “You get what you pay for” before you buy that knock-off version somewhere else.

Dali Decals uses the highest quality ink and materials for every decal, and their vinyl is suitable for even outdoor use!  In their easily searchable categories, you will find just about anything to suit your taste – from chalkboard decals to monograms to sports and beyond.  And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, they can custom make it.  Imagine your photo turned into a mural or possibly have them cut out a part of your photo to make a life-size (or bigger) decal.  A couple of their newest features on their website are their custom canvas printing and (my favorite) modern mosaics.  (Modern Mosaics are an alternative to traditional mosaic tiling – it simulates the look without the grout, glue, paste, mess or price tag.)

Where can you place a decal?  Decals are ideal for walls (any room in your home or office, even the bathroom), flooring, car windows, laptops or any smooth surface.  I have textured walls so I was slightly nervous that these wouldn’t work for me, but it did.  However, I can see where a completely smooth surface would result in a more seamless finished product.  Their decals come in removable or permanent vinyl in gloss or matte, or  in re-positionable fabric decals in your choice of size (custom decals). Though I chose glossy vinyl (the adhesive on the glossy decals are stronger and better for textured walls), I would rather have matte decals (I personally think they look more like painted images).

How easy are they to install?  This answer is a bit more complicated.  All I can say is it depends, but it is a whole lot easier than painting the wall yourself!  Let me explain what I mean…

I wanted to make sure I got a good assortment of their decals, ranging from slightly more intricate to a simple design and even lettering. The more intricate the design, the more careful or sensitive you will have to be.  Each wall decals comes with paper backing and a sticky transfer paper that sticks on the wall (keeps it in place).  Dali Decals provides you with a practice decal, easy instructions and an applicator tool.  (You might need scissors, tape and a level as well.)

Are they easily removable?  Yes!  And they leave no sticky residues.  But I wouldn’t count on re-using them after removal.  I did accidentally goof on one of my decals and had to reattach it to the transfer paper.  And it turned out just fine for me, but that may not be the case for everyone.

My only suggestion for Dali Decals is to add an assortment of bible verses.  I know they do custom decals, but it would be nice to thumb through a few of them I could use in my home like some of their competitors (though I dare not purchase any from “the other guys”).  I am still eyeing this tree… these things are certainly addicting, so beware!

Undecided?  If you are unsure about colors, you can always order color samples.  They also have gift certificates and all decals come with a 30 day money back guarantee to help ease your mind of worries.  Every order of $50 or more come with FREE US shipping.
