Another Tropical Traditions Giveaway! (CLOSED)

It’s an amazing feeling when you know your skin care products are 100% pure, natural and completely toxin-free.  On my very first day of using Tropical Traditions skin care line from head to toe (soap, lotion, hair care), I literally felt different.  It was such a great, invigorating feeling that I kept wanting to repeat the process daily.  My 9 month old teething daughter constantly chews on my skin, mainly my shoulder and arms, so it’s an added bonus to be absolutely confident that what she may be consuming isn’t harmful to her tiny, susceptible body.

Tropical Traditions, my one and only coconut oil source, sent me an assortment of their handmade bar soaps to review, and boy are they addicting.   All of their unscented soaps are made from a saponified version of their Organic Virgin Coconut Oil and nothing else.  Add high-quality organic essential oils like lavender (my favorite), lemon, and tea tree oil to their scented varieties or natural patchouli for healthy hair in their Shampoo Bars and you have the entire ingredient list.  That’s it.  Simple, pure, and perfect for sensitive skin types.

Other than the minimalist ingredient list, how do these soaps compare to other commercialized soaps?  In my opinion, they:

  • produce a much richer and thicker lather (a little bit goes a very long way)
  • rinse easily
  • are moisturizing
  • last longer
  • leave your skin feeling truly clean, healthy and soft

I am still having some trouble adjusting to the Shampoo Bar.  The idea of shampoo in a bar form is just strange for me as a woman. My husband, on the other hand, commented on how easy, convenient and fast it was to use a bar soap rather than a bottle of shampoo.  It must be a “guy thing!”  Patchouli is not my favorite scent, but these bars are so lightly scented that I had to double-check if my particular bar contained any at all.

From Tropical Traditions

There are very few soaps made from 100% coconut oil, and most soaps on the market today that are made from coconut oil are made from highly refined versions of these oils, and may contain chemical solvents that were used in the refining process. Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil is traditionally made from fresh organic coconuts, and independent laboratory tests show that it has a higher level of antioxidants than other coconut oils. While other coconut oil soaps may exist in the market place containing refined coconut oil, few if any will be made with high quality Organic Virgin Coconut Oil.

All of Tropical Traditions products are fabulous (my favorites are still the coconut oil and soaps), so why haven’t you tried them yet?  At first glance, yes, there products seem pricey, especially for us frugal ones.  However, if you sign up to receive their emailed sales and deals, the prices are unbelievable.  Buy one, get one free with free shipping sales, 60% off sales, and more.  Totally worth it.  Especially for a company I wholeheartedly trust.

Buy: The unscented and Shampoo Bars are 4 ounces and the scented bars are 3.4 ounces, and all retail for $6.95 each.  However, you can buy them at a sale price of $4.50, $4.95, and $5.50 each, respectively.  And the prices do decrease incrementally with the purchase of additional bars.  But wait, there’s more!  There is a promotion until the 31st of October – buy 2 unscented bars at the sale price and get a 3rd unscented bar for FREE.  That’s $9.00 for 3 bars!

Plus, if you do decide to place any order with Tropical Traditions, as a first-time customer you can receive a FREE copy of their Virgin Coconut Oil book (valued at $14.99).  Simply select “Referred by a Friend” at checkout and enter code 6132915 to receive your complimentary copy.

Make sure to sign up for the Tropical Traditions emailed newsletter to stay informed of weekly specials and deals.

Win: Do you want to experience that same feeling for yourself?  Tropical Traditions is offering one of our readers the opportunity to try one of these soap products for FREE -winner’s choice!
