Teething is a rough time for babies and moms. If you have a little one with emerging teeth and busy little hands, you already know that wearing a necklace is not an option. When my son was teething, I made the mistake of wearing a pearl necklace during church one morning. This unfortunate incident did not end well. Now with my teething daughter, I have already started to phase out all of my necklaces and dangly earrings.

Though I had not intended to get one for the sake of wearing it as “jewelry,” I was pleasantly surprised. They are fabulous, much better than I thought. My daughter just gnaws and gnaws on them like they were chocolate.
Since I received my bling, I have worn one almost every single day. Even my husband wears it (around the house, not in public) when he holds our daughter. He says that these pendants will surely take off and be a big hit soon. I think he’s right – they’re ingenious!
Not only is Smart Mom Jewelry stylish for the mom, but it is a safe teether for the baby! Each piece is made from non-toxic, latex-free, phthalate-free, PVC-free, lead-free, federally approved food-safe silicone that is dishwasher friendly.
The pendant is in the shape of a thick 2×2 donut that doesn’t look like silicone at all. Everywhere I go, people are surprised to find out that the necklace is actually a teether.
My daughter is at the stage where she likes to throw things down just to see what happens. You know that game. I find myself using her pacifier clips to hang toys from her clothing (or mine) in order to keep them off the ground. With the Teething Bling, I won’t have to search the diaper bag for clips or a teething ring again. The fact that a teether dangles from my neck means it won’t fall on the ground (a hundred times in a row) and get dirty! It’s also great when you want to have a conversation while holding a baby, since it really holds their attention.
Since I had received a few of them to review, I have often thought about giving one of my pendants to another mom friend, so that I can share how great they are. But every time I try, I stop myself- I just can’t bear to part with ANY of them! I never would have thought that about them in a million years!
