Kenny’s Mac N’ Cheese

(Given to me by my old high school friend Sara, it is an excellent gourmet kick to the traditional mac n’ cheese)
Cooking time: Approx. 20 minutes (stovetop)

1 qt heavy cream
1/2 cup parmesan
1 cup grated smoked gouda
1 t dried thyme
1/2 lb Hormel Cure 81 ham, diced
1 T white truffle oil
salt and pepper to taste
5 cups cooked pasta

  1. In a large pot, bring the cream to a low boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Whisk in all the remaining ingredients (except the oil and pasta).
  3. Simmer while constantly stirring for 2 minutes to thicken.
  4. Add pasta and simmer until coated and thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and drizzle with oil.

    This sounds amazing the ham is definitely something I never thought to add, and I love Gouda cheese!
